So here is DD's new top, from McCall's 6389. Very cute pattern, though the sleeves are too puffy for my taste. It's a good pattern overall, lots of nice details; I love the shaped hem and princess seams.
I really like the ruffles on the front, though you can't see them well in the pictures. I tried to add some fun to the top with the ladybug buttons and contrasting bumblee print on the inner collar.
So, it feels like spring early in our house! Next up, a floral ruffly top for myself, another early spring top. :)
That is ADORABLE!!! I love the shape of the blouse. So many kids patterns are just squares. The buttons and facing are cute touches. Overall, totally fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! This pattern really is much nicer than most other boxy kids patterns out there. It's worth getting. :)
DeleteVery creative and stylish top for your beautiful daughter!
ReplyDeleteShe is well on her way to being the best dressed kid in the neighborhood! Another adorable piece :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! What nice details in a little person's shirt. A lot of my old stash fabrics are 1 yd pieces of quilting cotton, purchased before the difference between shirting and cotton quilting was clear to me! I need to use them before my girls outgrow 1 yd shirts!
ReplyDeleteYes, almost all of my cottons are quilting cottons because I didn't know the difference until recently, either. It makes good aprons, and works for kids shirts though :)
DeleteI'd love to see some kids shirts you make from your 1 yard pieces. :)
